I have thirty years of IT industry experience at a representative and managerial level, and I have always been passionate about making IT work for business. I spent over ten years in a technical capacity but now view IT through a business lens, both for our company and for the organisations that we do business with. My goal is for us to continue to grow by doing what we do best, and that is working with people and organisations that are similarly passionate about their industry. I believe that by listening to a group of decision makers, you can understand the inner workings of their company, and learn what is most important to them and their people. This approach allows me to make better informed decisions about how IT can help them succeed.I have considerable experience with Microsoft technologies, with a specific focus on Windows networking and Microsoft Exchange. I am also well versed with SQL, SharePoint and Power BI, and have further knowledge of non-Microsoft products such as Cisco and Fortinet networking technologies. I view IT projects at an infrastructure level, seeking to understand first the goals of the business and then to use my experience when deciding which technologies to utilise. I continue to be involved in large scale desktop and server deployment, as well as disaster recovery procedures and lifecycle management.
