I developed a passion for chemistry and math as a young high school kid from Maine. My favorite Chemistry teacher encouraged me to pursue a career related to both of these fields, and a few years later I began to realize this dream at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). My time at WPI consisted of chemical engineering internships at Sappi Fine Paper in Westbrook, ME and Saint-Gobain in Worcester, MA. After graduating in May 2017, I accepted a job as an entry-level chemical engineer at OFS Fitel in Sturbridge, MA. My main project at OFS assessed the feasibility of improving one of the main processes at the facility by making it safer, cheaper, and more sustainable. Although my love for chemistry and learning was sparked nearly a decade ago in my first high school chemistry class, I maintain that youthful passion to this day and I am truly excited for any challenges and opportunities to come.
