I was part of the MMO team collecting similar data as on board of the ferries plus collecting focal follow data on especially Ziphius but also other cetaceans when around and collecting photo’s for the photo id database. Both projects also included collecting vessel traffic data, associated and interesting species other than cetacean sightings, transforming and cleaning the collected data, prepping the data for analysis and mapping all collected sighting in QGIS.
