Construction Project EngineerMckinstry Jul 2011 - Aug 2014Hillsboro, OregonI was referred through my network for this role with limited construction experience but learned quickly utilizing my Intel network and experience. Started out as an operations manager to fit up new rented office/warehouse space to serve Intel electrical work. Petr added HVAC to our scope and was busy getting it all running to be quickly promoted to Project Engineer/Field Coordinator in QC- I wore many hats!! I successfully created “packages” for a large scale electrical construction, new 7 story building at Intel. Some projects I bid and managed also included changing out large engineering tools in existing FABS ( factories for creating motherboards chipsets and microprocessors in a clean room environment). I would source and procure all orders per specs. Working with my field crew we created a system - which I implemented, where each work “package” was shrink wrapped onto a pallet so when the electrician pulled the specific packaged work order- all items needed to do the job were there and ready to be installed. I then tracked all tasks on the job, walked to inspect quality and to be certain work was complete and I updated the prints as the job progressed. Tracked all real and potential work in CRM (Salesforce software) to keep management updated to ensure company was able to effectively bid and win potential work onsite at Intel. I wrote and delivered all RFPs to the GC (I.e.Skanska, Howard Wright, Turner or Intel direct) visiting existing network onsite and making new connections/networking throughout. Responsible for all creating, tracking and updating project Earned Value using PM calculations and software. Created all reports for management and stakeholders as needed. Ordered and managed all project prints for the team. Managed small onsite office as needed to keep electricians in the field as much as possible. Payroll, purchasing, blueprints, Quality Control, training database, safety supplies and field information- 1st point of contact for everything. -
