Project Manager
CurrentAmazon faced challenges with the large number of individual and siloed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives spread across its global operations. To address this, I led the creation and maintenance of a single source of truth database designed to inventory and capture critical data for each initiative. As part of this effort, I conducted an environment scan across Amazon’s global network, identifying over 500 key programs and initiatives and capturing key details such as purpose, corporate ownership, geographic coverage, and identity group focus. This effort provided new and unique management insights, such as identifying overlaps and gaps between initiatives, as well as highlighting Amazonian needs and preferences regarding DEI programs in a global research project. I also standardized metrics across all DEI initiatives by implementing Core and Common metrics, enabling success to be measured with a consistent rubric. This approach empowered DEI leaders with comparison metrics that allowed them to evaluate individual programs against the average of similar initiatives. Additionally, I managed stakeholder communications and adoption support for these standardized metrics, new reports, and dashboards, impacting over 100 stakeholders. I led roadshows across multiple lines of business and hosted weekly office hours to ensure 100% adoption of the new metrics. I used the Smartsheet platform to manage data, as well as to create reports and dashboards.
