OverviewPrepare detailed cost estimates based on the construction drawings and specifications.Communicate bids and scopes of work.Essential Job FunctionsPrepare detailed estimates by completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope.Prepare and assemble bids and proposals for various contract types. (Lump Sum,Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Cost Plus, etc.)Serve as liaison with subcontractors, design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client.Point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing information.Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient.Prepare scope requisitions for assigned trades as required; coordinate with project team to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.Responsible for understanding all factors required to prepare bids, including contract documents, site logistics, schedule, coordination, means and methods.Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate for assigned scope.Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work.Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize subcontract scope.Occasionally perform duties outside scope of job description.

Complete field inspections and write repair estimates for insureds.

An AIC undergraduate or graduate student who lives in a residence hall among the residents. RAs assist students with their transition to and continuing experience with AIC through programing initiatives, providing resources to connect residents to the institution and each other, as well as documenting violations of college policies to teach students how to be positive members of the AIC community. RAs have designated duty hours throughout the week and also make themselves available to their residents outside of those hours.

On-boarding of Travelers systems and protocols. Exposure to Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity. Learn and understand effective strategies for investigating, negotiating and resolving claims thoroughly, accurately and efficiently. Develop knowledge of what happened, estimating damage, determining what coverages apply and helping our customers through the process. Observe the work of the Claim Professional through desk and ride alongs with experienced employees. Work with a designated coach to develop knowledge of claims through core assignments. Complete challenging and meaningful project work. Perform other duties as assigned.
