I founded TDG (now TDG LLC) in 1992 as a logistics consultancy, for the last 20 years we narrowed our focus to Dangerous Goods (HazMat) Transport issues. We provide on-site and online multimodal Dangerous Goods training to many thousands of companies and have trained over 75,000 students. Through an NGO we helped found (www.dgta.org) I work as the Head of Delegation at the United Nations in Geneva and attend the meetings over there twice a year. Started as Terminal Mgr at age 21 in the cargo airline industry (BUF, BWI, ATL). Hub manager for AEI Airlines in Chicago at age 24, Director of Cargo for DHL Air Cargo in the Hawaiian Islands then moved from HNL to Newark as Ops Mgr for DHL. Worked for Northern Air Freight as District Mgr in New England (District Manager of the Year for the company in 1986). Moved to the West Coast as Station Manager for Skyway Freight System in 1987. Started TDG at age 35. Immediately stopped keeping track of my age as real years in the logistics business are kind of like dog years.Long time instructor for Cal State Long Beach University's "Global Logistics Specialist" program. Also trained over 1,000 people in the IATA/FIATA Cargo Agent Training Diploma program. My company has trained over 75,000 students in Dangerous Goods around the world on every continent.I participated in the original formation of the Dangerous Goods Trainers Association and served on the Board of Directors for several years.
