My education path to wind to the completion of my BS in Mechanical Engineering has been a nontraditional one to say the least. I credit the recognition of this passion to FIRST Robotics and recommend anyone to watch or volunteer at a competition to witness the creative minds of our youth.Prior to pursuing my BS, I performed a role as a CNC programmer for fiber optic CNC lasers and specialized in 3D to 2D conversion for sheet metal manufacture. I collaborated directly with clients ranging from to Automotive to Aerospace to university Formula SAE teams.My educational career in mechanical engineering prioritized materials and design with classes such as Finite Element Analysis, Materials and Design, and Composites. Through the years, I have devoted time both in and out of university towards my passion of automotive and design. Over the last year, my time was split between two independent research studies including tensile and fatigue strength of additive manufactured samples and tensile strength of carbon fiber with embedded flaws (cracks). The paper that I co-authored for additive manufacturing was accepted for publication in IMECE and presented at the 2023 national conference.Inside of school, I took on the role of Vice President of the EWU Motorsports Club with the hope of a place of inclusion where students can get hands on experience and learn about automotive design and manufacturing.Outside of school, I have had the pleasure of racing on a plethora of tracks spread throughout Washington over the years. During the off-season, you will either find me on my racing simulator or at the go kart winter league!I am happy to be pursuing robotics and automation utilizing the skills and knowledge obtained in my undergraduate degree.Proud Accomplishments: Eagle Scout, Community Service Excellence Award from Mayor, Accepted publication through IMECE
