Hello, I am Tanner Wood. I have an interest in the graphic design industry.My short term educational goals are finishing my general education requirements at Clovis Community College. A short term career goal is to apply to photo studios to get more experience in taking photos and maybe even freelance online to practice graphic design. Long-term, I want to be a graphic designer either privately or work at a team making posters and other graphic media for major companies. I became interested in this field of study by attending the Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART) in their Graphic Design lab. While taking this course, I took a photography class at Clovis High for two years. I was inspired by Aaron Love and Douglas Adrian; they were fantastic teachers and inspired me to get into the field.At CART, I was exposed to the work world in various ways. Firstly, I was taught how to act in an interview and how to conduct interviews. Secondly, I was taught how to make a proper and presentable resume. Lastly, CART prepared me to look professional for any business occasion.At school, I work a lot in the theater department. I move around sets, control sounds, and create promotional material. I acted as almost a second in command during the Show “Tuck Everlasting” while doing set changes and helped with a lot of the organizing. I worked as a sound designer for “Exit The Body '' I communicated with my team and boss about when to hit cues and when to add cues.
