• Estimate cost for multiple heavy/civil construction projects, including quantity take-off and pricing• Proficient in use of unit cost modelling tool and provide improvement initiatives• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff• Identify bid opportunities, Visit Site, Attend prebid meeting• Utilize estimating methods and the expertise of other project professionals to establish total project estimates• Identify, evaluate and implements new ideas, technologies or process improvements to increase organizational efficiencies and cost savings• Manage projects from concept to completion• Experience in estimating, bidding, and managing commercial government civil construction projects with a value of up to $2,200,000.• Responsible for overseeing the registration and ensuring compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations• Knowledgeable of the requirements, regulations, and adherence for Virginia Stormwater Management Programs (VSMP) and SWPPP(Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan)• Familiar with Carlson Takeoff CAD-based software for calculating earthwork volumes (cut & fill) and 3d modeling.
