I am a Mass Communication student at Xavier University of Louisiana, fueled by an unwavering passion for romance books and a relentless ambition to become a romance book publisher. My journey is driven by a desire to empower individuals through the captivating world of literature.Throughout my academic pursuits at Xavier University, I have immersed myself in the art of effective communication and storytelling. Through my studies, I have gained a deep understanding of the power of words and their ability to evoke emotions, ignite imaginations, and bring people together. In my past work experiences, I have honed my skills and gained valuable insights. As a marketing intern with the LEARN charter network, I contributed to strategic initiatives that amplified educational opportunities for students. Additionally, my role as a High School Placement & Alumni Relations Intern allowed me to foster meaningful connections.With aspirations to become a romance book publisher, I envision a future where I can promote diversity and representation in literature, specifically by advocating for the publication of black books by black authors. I want to promote normal romance, fantasy, and fiction books for black people that aren't centered around black trauma. I am deeply passionate about amplifying marginalized voices and using my skills in marketing and public relations to create a more inclusive literary landscape.When I'm not busy binge watching great shows or trying new restaurants, I'm often in my pajamas with my kindle permanently attached to my hand.
