I am a LLB law graduate from Edge Hill University. Along side of this I am a Housing Rights Worker at Shelter Lancashire. I advise individual on their housing rights, from rent arrears to Section 21 notices. I also carry out financial resilience work shops to our service users and other organisations. Prior to this I was a Welfare Benefits Advisor. I supported service users with filling in benefit forms, mandatory reconsiderations and taking their claims to Tribunal and drafting appeal submissions. Within this role I organised, lead and carried out benefit form filling workshops. This was the first work shop Shelter Lancashire had carried out.I have volunteered at Shelter for 3 years prior to being employed. I supported the legal team and involvement team. I believe that every person deserves the right to a safe home, somewhere to make memories and grow freely. I will not stop fighting for people’s rights until this is reality and not a dream.
