o Business development for new firm, including marketing and proposal/scope development for potential clients and projects. o Managed several ecological and GIS staff in different states and managed a mixture of nationwide projects. o Technical work included wetland delineations, stream assessments, federal/state listed species coordination and surveys, Clean Water Act 404/401 permitting, mitigation and restoration planning, GIS analysis and modeling, and NEPA documentation.

o Worked under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) “Great Lakes Grant”, focusing on monitoring the water quality of Lake Erie by satellite remote sensing.o Completed water quality sampling, in-field measurements, and sample prep for lab analysis.o Built algorithms/water quality models to effectively and accurately measure/map algal blooms (cyanobacteria), by image processing techniques, GIS, and statistical analysis.o Quarterly scientific report submissions to NOAA to confirm grant goals were accomplished.

Columbus, Ohio Area

o Regulatory compliance and environmental permitting related to surface water, including 401/404 permits and mitigation/restoration.o Completed certifications and applied Ohio Rapid Assessment Method for Wetlands (ORAM), Headwater Habitat Evaluation Index (HHEI), Headwater Macroinvertebrate Field Index (HMFEI), and Vegetation Index of Biotic Integrity (VIBI).o Gained familiarity with state water quality standards, Clean Water Act Sections 303, 401, 402, and 404.o Performed wetland delineations, stream surveys, and biological surveys.o Monitored over 50 restoration/mitigation sites across the state. o Applied advanced ArcGIS tools to examine the hydrology at specific sites, build databases, and manage years of data; collected and managed field data using ArcPad on a GPS system.o Worked along the US Army Corp of Engineers, USEPA, US Fish and Wildlife, applicable state agencies, as well as various consultants, applicants, and interested environmental groups.
