Implemented the first ever nation-wide health care plan in Afghanistan; organized the most successful immunization campaign in any post- conflict country, and created the most rapid educational and distribution plan for nursing, midwifery, and community health workers in the history of Afghanistan-as per LANCET. Delivery of basic health in a post conflict (2002-2005) Afghanistan was daunting enough, but my highest aspiration was to use health care delivery to also Empower the population, and women in particular.
