Profile bio

About David Dressler

I had no intention of being an entrepreneur and a businessman. I was working as an engineer and architect designing radar systems. I loved my job – amazing colleagues, cool products, and I was able to see my products being used all over the world! Engineering was 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.In March of 1999, I took a job at Intel managing a software development team that designed file systems for mobile phones. I liked the job, but I was developing technology that was a small piece of the final product. I just felt incomplete. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱. I accepted a job in marketing, supporting mobile phone OEMs in Europe. I was back to working on products I could see people using. In this new job, I used my technical background, but I had to develop new skills that included relationships with customers, making sure customer plans were aligned to Intel’s business goals and Intel was able to hit revenue targets. I took on more roles at Intel and eventually Micron which allowed me to learn even more about how to run a business. I worked with engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales, and marketing for programs that I ran. I took the time to learn about these different functions and how they impact the success of a business. This has fueled my passion which is the intersection of Technology & Innovation with business I am not a follower. If you have a job that has been perfected and you need someone to come to work every day and do the same thing, then this is not the job for me. I am the kind of guy you want on the team who can do something that has never been done before or is currently not being done effectively. I am a strategic thinker who will look at a problem or situation and can tell you what is wrong as well as what to change to make it right. I can look at technologies, products, businesses, and organizations and understand what they are and how to plan for long-term success. Over the past 30 years, I developed products. I defined/planned Intel Desktop & Mobile platforms including several PC technologies. I was responsible for planning and executing Intel’s Channel Mobile CPU strategy. I managed employees, but more importantly, I led entire organizations in delivering the greatest products and services in the world. I traveled all over the world talking to customers and became their trusted advisor. All of these successes helped me become a person capable of making positive changes in customers, clients, and my employer's business.AKA/Misspellings: David Dressler, Dave Dressler
