Basavaraj Mudigoudar is director and V.P. of engineering at FastVDO RMC pvt ltd, Bangalore a research and development oriented Technology Company focused on multimedia applications and computer vision. He had passion for technology since childhood and learnt programming computers at the age of 14. He completed his BE in Electronics and Communications from SDMCET, Dharwad in the year 2000 and MS in Electrical engineering from University of Texas, Arlington, USA in 2005. Right from his college days he has been keen on practical aspects of engineering and has indulged himself in many projects. He started his professional career with U&I System Design as a VLSI design engineer and contributed in IC design for multimedia applications. He then briefly worked at Spike Infotech (now part of Qualcomm) before pursuing his masters. His specialization and experience in Image processing and multimedia gave him an internship position at FastVDO LLC, USA. With his innovative ideas and smart work he successfully contributed to the development of many multimedia products and became manager for product development. He then took over operations at FastVDO RMC pvt ltd, Bangalore in 2009. His 13 years of work experience spans from VLSI design, embedded systems, software applications, mobile applications, video streaming, web-site development, product development and engineering management.
