Many professionals want to take full advantage of the power of 21st century computers, but don’t know how. Unfortunately, too often the IT gurus in their organization are too busy to help as they are building servers and websites. They just can’t be bothered with helping lowly users figure out how to fix mail merge errors and complex Excel formulas and macros.For over 25 years I have taught business professionals the basics and the advanced features of Access, Excel, Word, and other Windows-based products. Often, students have approached me after class wondering if I could just come to their office and help them build the solution they need. Aiding them has been the joy of my career.What I’ve found is organizations often need a little bit of structure and some basic programming to help them automate and improve their business processes. Unfortunately, the “little bit of structure” is sometimes not intuitive; and the basic programming often has a steep learning curve. Yet, when these things are put in place, dramatic changes occur.At TechMentors, this is exactly what I do. I help accountants, lawyers, health care experts, data analysts, and other professionals automate their business processes.I will help you organize and automate your database, spreadsheet, and other office applications.Together we will:• Analyze your current needs• Evaluate your existing processes• Discuss possible solutions• Develop a plan to achieve those improvementsHere is an example: Years ago, a client spent time each month tediously cutting and pasting data from Survey Monkey so it could be in the right format to create Excel charts that were then copied and pasted into a PowerPoint presentation. This process, unfortunately, took them 2 days each month. That was 16 hours of tedious, mindless computer work every month! We sat down together, virtually, and discussed the problem. I assured them there was a better solution. They sent me copies of their files which I analyzed.
