At Cardinal Health, I was responsible for Information Management, Integration and Analytics enablement. As part of information management practice - Information Architecture, Master Data, Metadata, Data Architecture and Modeling was my focus. Created the vision for the org and built alignment to execute on the vision within 6 months of hire. Built business case, got necessary funding and started execution on the vision around 9th month of hire. Within a year of hire established a big data practice with shoe string budget. In the following months led delivery of many solutions to the platform. Modernized the MDM platform and built a business case to retire IBM MDM and IBM Metadata workbench. Introduced HANA and enabled integration of HANA, Hadoop and Teradata during the transition state. Enabled Self Service for pioneers/ data scientists. I was responsible for integration of Sears and Kmart post merger where I led many streams of work identifying what apps to continue with in areas of finance, transportation & logistics. I was responsible for modernization of eCommerce platform and integration of eCommerce with Brick & Mortar. I led efforts for new eCom offerings “ServiceLive” and established a loyalty program. Implemented gamification for store associates. I modernized BI&A and establish a big data practice. The practice enabled our businesses with new capabilities while saving them more than $35 M per year in operating costs. Leveraged the platform to retire mainframe enabling the organization to be a technologically modern entity. I also spun off the Big Data practice as new entity called MetaScale, which focused on selling BigData Services and hosting solutions to other organizations.
