In 1999 I started working for V&D (a department store) at the Electronic department as a computer and mobile devices expert.I advised customers and gave technical support.In 2005 I started working at Coolblue as technical support for PDA's, smartphone's, MP3 players and navigation equipment.After a few months of technical support I promoted to the function as Sysadmin. I maintained the open source server infrastructure (Linux) and Oracle databases and also gave support for the windows client network.After this I started working at Byelex as hosting engineer.This means managing a complete hosting infrastructure and maintenance of the open source servers and applications. I also gave support for the windows and Mac Os X clients including IOS smartphones and did some iOS developing, signing and deploying.My second function was network designer/engineer for Byelex Wifi sub devision Picospot. I designed and configured WIFi mashup networks/hotspots for Camping sites, Hotels, Shopping Malls, Convention Centers and holiday apartment complexes.These sites all authenticate (AAA) with Picpoint's backend.Picopoint is a sub devision of Byelex solutions.I maintain it's servers (Sun Solaris) and administrate the Oracle databases.I'm currently working full time for Picopoint as a technical engineer.Designing WiFi hotspot networks and configuring gateways for different customers and network troubleshooting, mostly in the UK and the Netherlands.We became Lancom application partner and Cisco reseller.The most common gateways I work with are Lancom, Ruckus, Extreme Networks WING (former Zebra, Motorola), Aruba Networks, Nomadix, Colubris (now HP procurve), CradlePoint, Mikrotik and Linux based gateways based on ChilliSpot in various network configurations.Specialties: Linux, Solaris and Domino administration, Wifi specialist, Apple expert, Mac OS X (server) administration, Network expert, AAA/Network debugger, Hosting administrator and Lancom WiFi certified.
