Subsidiary senior executive with 10 member business and legal team providing operations and legal support for long haul fiber optic operations unit and $3B wholesale sales operating unit. Operational duties included business unit leader responsibilities for carrier relations, telecom service supply chain and distressed asset purchase projects.

Digital Teleport provided wholesale fiber optic services to national and regional telecommunications carriers in Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.► Legal counsel to startup business securing initial $40 million funding by major energy company, and subsequent $506 million high-yield bond offering.► Structured and negotiated key customer contracts with national wireless and wireline carriers, resulting in growth of sales to $30 million of sustainable annual recurring revenue.► Led corporate development team that assembled and integrated 18,000-mile fiber optic network in 17 months, through construction and purchase of 13,000 route miles of network from six different national telecommunications carriers in 16 separate transactions.► Spearheaded all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization efforts in 2002 and 2003, resulting in general creditors receiving more than 90 cents on the dollar.■ Eliminated $506 million in high-yield debt.■ Managed $525 million reduction in costs of 19 key contracts through renegotiation of key terms.■ Facilitated mutually acceptable settlement of creditor litigation against controlling shareholder.■ Conducted June 2003 marketing, auction, and sale of all company assets to CenturyTel, Inc.
