As District Manager for Seagate Software, NSMG, the industry leader in data protection and network management software. I was responsible for both pull-through and push for a 6 state $20 million territory. The territory had been unmanned for over a year until I joined Seagate, and was seriously under performing. I built a strong sales team and exceeded objective within 6 months. After VERITAS acquired NSMG I assumed a position as a Key Account Representative, responsible for a 6 state area. ClearStats acquires Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and RMON (Remote Monitoring) data, stores this information in an ODBC compliant relational database and generates availability, utilization, error, and configuration reports. I was responsible for all sales and marketing activities related to ClearStats Network Management software offering.

I directed a staff of 5 OEM Account Managers, 2 Business Unit Managers and 6 Sales Administrators; directed global Sales and Product Management functions and directly negotiating multi-million dollar corporate agreement; exceeded corporate sales objectives by greater than 10% and increased Gross Margins by greater than 3%.

As sales Engineer, I developed the GM Electromotive Division account from $80 K per year to over $1 M per year. As Sales Manager, I hired, trained and directed a sales force consisting of 6 direct sales offices staffed by 8 salesmen located throughout the Central United States plus separate independent manufacturer's rep networks for two autonomous divisions. Due to outstanding sales performance, was promoted first to District Manager and later to Regional Manager.
