Rhodri provides a fresh, pragmatic approach to using technology in the classroom by utilising his experience as an outstanding teaching practitioner to support and guide schools using digital technology to improve learning.Based in London, Rhodri is the Head of Digital Learning at Thomas's Kensington and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. He plays a significant role in developing the strategic digital vision of the school. Previously he was the Digital Integration Lead at Cubitt Town Primary School leading a team of digital leaders who innovate, share and trial new ideas in their classrooms. He was the Tower Hamlets CAS Co-Lead and supported teachers in the borough with delivering the Computing curriculum. He was also part of a network of schools working together to share best practices using Google Workspace for learning and raising the profile of ICT education in Tower Hamlets. Rhodri has been recognised as 'One to Note' in the EdTech50 UK Awards Yearbook 21/22 for his efforts in digital transformation at Cubitt Town and Tower Hamlets. He guest lectures to PGCE students at the Institute of Education (UCL) and at the London East Teacher Training Alliance program about the integration of Technology across the curriculum. He is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and offers training alongside our Google Partner Connetix to schools in Tower Hamlets and London on Google Workspace. Recently, he delivered training on Google Workspace at the AppsEvents Google for Education European Summit in Amsterdam to a number of EdTech consultants and International Schools. Using his knowledge as a class teacher, he can provide teachers with a hands-on bespoke interactive experience and share his knowledge of using Google Workspace in the classroom. He also provides support to schools across London with their digital strategies. Rhodri uses Google Workspace to facilitate learning within his classroom. He has done this for a number of years and is experienced in using technology in his classroom. He runs a CodeClub and has been acknowledged as an outstanding contributor to the community by CodeClubUK, Scratch and RaspberryPi. He’s written part of the Online Safety Curriculum for the National Online Safety company and contributes articles for EdTech journals. Rhodri is listed in the Google Edu Directory and is aiming to offer his experience to schools as a Google for Education Certified Trainer by providing bespoke interactive training sessions which build on the schools' digital literacy vision.
