Maintain signs posted that alert river users of potential hazards if a bypass is evident from the CSO’s. Work orders are printed out daily, the work order has a detailed task assigned to it for the duties to be performed. Preventive maintenance is a critical part of maintaining the system and plant to reduce costly repairs. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly work orders for preventive maintenance are prepared to combat the down time to machinery as well as all apparatuses used in waste water flow and treatment. Plant mechanics and maintenance man also perform administrative duties that consist of daily logs and filling out reports. They also keep the grounds at the plant and lift stations free of debris, mowed, trimmed, clear sidewalks, parking lots and driveways of snow, apply salt on sidewalks, steps and parking lots. The shop, storage and work areas are kept clean, debris free, and tools returned to its designated place when not in use as well. Show less
