Worked in the Global Facilities department in the Healthcare division assisting with the HVAC design on a new University hospital. Gained experience using programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, and AutoCAD, and familiarized myself with specific ASHRAE and SMACNA standards for medical facilities. Core responsibilities included calculating specific equipment loads, finalizing CFM requirements, preliminary static pressure loss calculations, and updating of Revit schedules.

Worked as a peer tutor for Kansas State University. While a full time engineering student I tutored 12 hours a week, and had over thirty students assigned to me.

I led the design of a new cooler and tent concept. Responsibilities included creating preliminary SolidWorks renderings, prototyping, testing, and evaluating the test results. I also calculated estimated shipping and manufacturing costs for both products to determine profit feasibility. I gained valuable communication, leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. My work had to be documented in a way that the full time engineers could seamlessly pickup where I left off.

This was a summer job during my high school years. My job included anything maintenance related at Triplett Inc., dba Citywide Self-Storage and 24/7 Travel Stores. I did everything from landscaping, pump repair, concrete repair, minor electrical work, demolition, construction, and irrigation repair. I learned many life skills, accrued many stories, and learned communication and leadership skills.
