Provided oversight of all HR functions for this non-profit organization of 180 employees serving 15 counties in southern Colorado. Counseled and advised supervisors/managers and upper level management regarding employee relations, recruiting, selection and onboarding. Administered all benefits programs working with external vendors to assure all participating employees had access to plans in which they enrolled. Facilitated implementation of new HRIS including interface with payroll which eliminated duplicate data entry of employee information. Supervised three direct reports providing administrative support to executive leadership. Coordinated and presented annual benefits open enrollments for all locations throughout southern Colorado. Conducted yearly updates of employee handbook and communicated changes throughout the organization. Provided oversight and guidance to HR Generalist and assisted with New Employee Orientations when necessary. Conducted supervisor training regarding proper administration of ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Workers Compensation, and other employee benefit programs. Prepared and filed annual 5500 report for company sponsored 401(k) plan.

Provided benifits counseling for all staff and faculty on the UCCS campus. Responsibilities and duties included presentation of annual benefits open enrollment meetings; new employee orientations; coordination and facilitation of annual on-campus health and wellness fair; and I was often called upon to assist with benefits meetings at other University of Colorado campuses in Denver and Boulder. In addition to my duties as Benefits Counselor I was also called upon to serve on a committee tasked with the creation and coordination of several computer based training modules. During my employment at the UCCS campus I also participated as a member of the Colorado Springs Business Group on Health which worked to educate employees of participating organization on the benefits of attaining, maintaining and promoting healthy life styles.

During my employment with Fleet Credit Card Services I functioned as a Human Resources Generalist. Duties included maintaining and updating new employee orientation presentations; conducting new employee orientation; annual benefits open enrollment meetings; employee relations; sexual harassment investigations; workers compensation claims; and more. As the HRBP I provided guidance and counseling to managers and supervisors pertaining to best practices regarding employee issues. Additionally, I filled the role of Diversity Officer for the Colorado Springs facility.
