Hi, I am with Viatec, a reliable ePTO electrification option for hydraulic equipment, for both ICE and and fully electric equipment. I am a mechanical engineer by education and have experience managing; a Central Distribution Warehouse, Logistics, Heavy Haul, Investment Recovery, and Supplier Relations in Supply Chain Management. However most of my career has been in Fleet Engineering and Management with assignments involving; final stage manufacturing, technical support for field technicians, specification development, creating procedures and policy for safe use of equipment, managing garages and parts warehouses, and the many other task associated with managing a safe, reliable, and efficient fleet. My favorite assignment involved meeting with crews across Southern Company and designing equipment to meet the various applications needed to support the greatest endeavor mankind has ever undertaken. Of course I am talking about the electrical grid. In all these roles I have supported on system and off system restoration efforts in the aftermath of the worst hurricanes in recorded history and the dramatic tornado outbreak of 2011. All those challenges helped prepare me for a role with Terex Utilities where I was given the opportunity to help develop and sell new products, and improve current products, which enable our utility grid workers to work with added degrees of safety, more efficiently, with highly reliable equipment. After retiring from Terex at the end of 2021, I later got the opportunity to work with a company that I took part in bringing to Terex for their reliable ePTO solution. That company is Viatec, and I am proud to be a part of this team. It is often said “Silence is Golden” . Nowhere is it more valuable for Safety than a utility job site. The Viatec solution brings another level of Safety and Comfort to utility work. I work in the best industry possible, and it is the people who have taken on this great endeavor that make it so. The best part of working at Terex and now Viatec, is that I get the opportunity to meet so many more of the dedicated people who build, maintain, and operate the many portions of the Grid that are bringing power and light to change this world.
