I am persistent. I believe in 100% or don't bother. I want to know everything, except the fact I can't know everything. I like to win, but I like leading a winning team more. It seems that when things get frantic I calm down. I guess I am neither shaken nor stirred. I am looking for a new career opportunity. A challenge to live up to. I have multi tasked as acting CIO of two medical companies, one a medical device company and one a surgical practice for 18 years. My core abilities offer you more than any job description. The thing about a resume is that it is a summary, sort of a translation of your ability to a tight and specific advertisement of yourself, responding to another advertisement for a job. As Okakura Kakuzo said in The Book of Tea, “All translation is treason”. What I am driving at is a resume is, like a translation, a treasonous omission; simply the back of a book jacket compared to the person it represents. Benjamin Franklin had a second grade education. Today does that fact diminish his "resume"?For a long while I have contemplated how to summarize the "who" and the "what" that I am. Then one night around 3AM while working on a project everyone before me said: "there is no point in trying to compete. Just pay for top billing instead, and seeing my work already prove those words wrong, a car commercial came on the TV and the statement that defines me was right there in an old song from Smokey and The Bandit: "I live to do what they say can't be done". It is what keeps me charging when all around me halt, when clients and bosses disagree and I must persevere until proven right, when even the equipment I need fails.
