A seasoned retail operations executive and digital technology entrepreneur in training, my next endeavor is enabling a positive impact on our planet. After two decades in corporate America as a leader in the Business Information and Technology segment of Nordstrom, I transitioned to the world of entrepreneurship to focus on transforming my local Chicago community. In 2007, I launched the first of five Massage Envy clinics. My pivot to a local business owner enabled me to focus on retail leadership from a new perspective. Over the last decade, I have been astonished by the amount of paper-based mail waste I have encountered at our brick-and-mortar stores. As a small business owner, I understand the necessity of connection to loyal customers. My latest venture, WhatifWe World imagines a more connected, environmentally-positive world where we enable community connection using technology while reducing waste. Our first endeavor, our app WithYou, offers a solution to the untargeted and environmentally-destructive paper mail problem. Together with my son, Ben, we are using technology to connect neighbors to the local businesses they love using a forward-thinking, better-for-the-planet platform. As a devoted husband of 31 years and a father to two wonderful sons, I see business as a channel to support our planet with solutions that improve our world for our children and their children.
