First 18 years as a technician with the then PMG Dept/Telecom Aust later became Telstra. Started in radio section at the Route Control Centre at Mt Bonython (SHF and UHF route control and maintenance throughout SA), then to the Radio Instrument Centre (repair, calibration and acceptance testing of radio test instruments) and on to Traffic Engineering (centralised and detailed occupancy and dispersion traffic studies in telephone exchanges throughout SA and NT). Left Telecom in 1988 and migrated into the Building Industry, mostly in Electrical and Airconditioning (commercial and residential). Helped build 4 townhouses at Brompton (hands-on in all trades), involved in many residential extensions and renovations and commercial major works and fit-outs. Also did A/R, A/P, materials procurement, bank/supplier reconciliations, quotes & invoices, estimating and quoting off plans, BAS preparation and general bookkeeping. Left in 2005 and went to England for 6 months to help my sister and brother-in-law with a fledgling business, transporting aircraft parts & flight crew for a small regional and international airlineReturned to Australia and had experience with sales, retail & B2B, then into market research, facilities management and now into Real Estate. Back to my original role with CoreLogic/RPData as an Associate - Recent Sales. A role I loved previously for over 2 years. During the intervening 3 years I was a Customer Care Consultant. Proud to have over 8 years with CoreLogic.Married for the first time quite late in life to Gina (from the Philippines) and now have 3 adult step-children and 7 delightful step-grandchildren, whom we are delighted to give the opportunity to have a good education so that they will have a much better future and not have to endure the dreadful poverty that Gina experienced throughout most of her life. Now retired in the Philippines

Associate, Client ServicesCorelogic Rp Data Apr 2017 - Oct 2017AdelaideMainly a new name for my current role in Customer Care., so duties are pretty well as below. Also cross-selling/promotion of new products and enhancements as they come on stream, to ensure our customers are getting the maximum "bang for their bucks"! Most recent is our new RP Data Pro app for android phones.

Customer Care ConsultantCorelogic Rp Data Oct 2014 - Apr 2017AdelaideTake incoming calls from customers with issues using our systems and services and resolving same in a time-efficient and professional manner. Much more knowledge of our products and systems required compared to Recent Sales, so a good opportunity to learn more and become more involved in the business. Will still be keeping my hand in with Recent Sales, mainly Saturday auction work, so to all the fantastic Real Estate Agents out there, you have not got rid of me yet! :) -
Associate, Recent SalesCorelogic Australia Aug 2017 - Dec 2020Adelaide, AustraliaWell, it has now been 3 weeks since I stepped back into my original role when I started at CoreLogic RP Data about 5 and a half years ago! It has been so good to be talking to a lot of the Real Estate Agents whom I spoke to before, quite a lot have actually remembered me after about 3 years, so I must have been doing things right! Mainly calling SA and WA again with a few Vic calls thrown in.I can't stress how important this work is for not just RP Data, but for all our customers. It is absolutely essential that our data is as up to date as possible so that the CMAs, Autovals and Property Reports (to name a few), are as accurate and meaningful as possible. Along the way, we unfortunately had some agents and agencies decide to no longer provide their sales data to us. Whilst this is disappointing, it gives me the challenge to "win them back". This is one facet of my role that I am really looking forward to. -
Recent Sales Officer - Rp DataRp Data May 2012 - Oct 2014AdelaideObtain recent sales prices from real estate agents, check correct property and agent details and upload these into the RP Data system (RP Classic & RP Professional) using the Microsoft CRM system. This is some of the most important work as the data that my team and I gather forms the basis, the cornerstone, of all the reports and analytics performed by RP Data. It is absolutely essential that our raw data is as up-to-date as possible, so that the analytics, reports and CMAs our customers request are as accurate and meaningful as possible. Mostly I call agents in SA and WA, but also call agents in Vic, NSW and QLD from time to time. I have worked hard to build a strong rapport with the agents and agencies that I regularly deal with and have always gone "the extra mile" to help and/or assist them. Attended the REISA Annual Awards Presentations in Oct 2013 & 2014 with my Team Leader and Senior SA Management. I have been delighted to assist in training new Recent Sales Officers that have joined our team and have always been available to assist fellow team members whenever and wherever needed. -

Process requests into work orders, allocate suitable contractor to attend, allocate priorities, follow-up on status of outstanding work orders, close completed work orders, maintain work order register, liaise with clients, on-site facility/property managers and other stakeholders. The most enjoyable aspect of this role was being able to use my considerable knowledge of commercial building, owner/tenant demarcations and responsibilities, prioritising of issues, general building management, OH&S aspects and building rapport with those whom I dealt with.
