Of all the things I’d like to help you with, there are two I’m best suited for: making ice cream and facilitating positive social change through business.My company, Rhino Foods, has spent over thirty years in the ice cream business, beginning with the co-invention of cookie dough for ice cream with Ben & Jerry’s. Today, we offer over 60 types of gooey-chewy cookie dough inclusions, plus brownie pieces, cake pieces...the list goes on. In addition to being the co-inventor of the number one ice cream flavor innovation in the last twenty five years, we created the number two best-selling ice cream novelty in C-stores for a three year period, and developed the best-selling reduced-fat retail cheesecake for ten years. But...would you like to know why I’m really here? To invest in our customers, employees, and community. This has been our modus operandi for as long we’ve been around. We develop innovative workplace practices that benefit the lives of our Rhino community members. Once we prove that an idea can simultaneously benefit our people and strengthen business, we provide technical assistance to organizations interested in exploring and implementing them.Our primary initiative focuses on employee financial stability and the spreading of the Income Advance Program–a small dollar employee loan and savings tool. In 2019, we founded the non-profit Rhino Foods Foundation to work nonstop at spreading innovative workplace practices that stem from a culture of employee centered design.
