2020: Assisting an electronics designer/manufacturer in developing and implementing DFX for their electronics design teams. Provided guidance on materials and design approaches for multiple new products.2019: Investigated a production ramp-up issue involving low quality and yield from soldering and test processes on a large/complex product. I identified numerous process limitations and issues, championed changes and trials to exercise those changes, and documented the changes for the factory. First-pass Yields increased 25% within my first week, and throughput increased 100% within 3 weeks.

I led global teams (China, France, India, Atlanta, Indianapolis) to create consistent PCB layout practices and common tools/libraries, enabling design portability across all sites and 24-hour a day design timelines, reducing time to complete designs by nearly 50%. I led implementation of new processes including equipment selection and procurement, defining and delivery of training to the factory, and direct support of process development to meet production start. I have led efforts in product development to avoid new product problems, resulting in over 500 million high quality delivered items. Successfully led a team to triage a 30,000 piece bonepile, identifying failure modes, defining repair cost per mode, enabling the factory to repair/scrap per mode and consequently meet shipping schedules while minimizing cost.
