Provide direct support to the JSC Chief Medical Officer/Health and Medical Tech Authority. Serve as a liaison to the tea of integrators and subject matter experts on HHPC to ensure NASA human space flight programs adequately incorporate and implement HMTA standards.

Section Manager for WYLE/UTMB Flight Surgeons supporting mission critical operations in MCC and Star City, Russia. Additionally manage Wyle Contingency Support Group that supports in flight contingency issues as well as managing the contingency support requirements for Johnson Space Center. The Contingency Support Group manages natural and man made disaster responses. Additional responsibilities include management and oversight of the Human Test Flight Group at the Sonny Carter Neutral Bouyancy lab. This team of phys techs are responsible for hyper/hypobaric, and altitude chambers and operations.

Open the Taps goals are to work within the Texas state legislative process to help lossen the restrictions that are stifling the growth of the national craft beer movement in Texas.In 2013 Texas legislative session Open The Taps was instrumental in helping to pass comprehensive craft beer legislation that will help grow small Texas businesses and give the consumer more choice when it comes to craft beer.

• Responsible for day to day operations of ISS BME Group under the Space Medical Operations Section which includes:o Oversight of 16 individuals, performing bi-yearly and yearly reviews, resolving personnel conflicts.o Assignment of ISS BME Tasks including Shuttle Lead, Increment Manager, Deputy Increment Manager, and Technical Liaison.• Responsible for continued improvement of the ISS BME Group based on the changing ISS Program and MOD requirements. Examples include:o Working to increase the number of ISS BME’s within Space Medicine to help respond to the increase demand of 6 person crew.o Developed new console support plan that would help reduce fatigue and “burn out” of experienced ISS BME’s with the creation of the Operator BME position. o Developed new operations concept in support of the transition to a 6 person crew on the International Space Station. o Updated the BME Increment Management Team philosophy and organization to meet the increased workload of 6 person crew operations, including the creation of a new position of Conference BME to handle the scheduling 6 crew conferences and interfacing with International partners.• Interfaced with Flight Director, Program Office, Engineering Directorate and Space and Life Sciences Directorate on ISS BME issues:o Integrated Operator support philosophy with the Flight Director officeo Creation of a Commercial Vehicle BME to support MOD meetingso Increased communication between Engineering and BME by holding periodic meetings with CHeCS System Managers.
