I am responsible for safety and energy certifications for ITE, video game systems, laser products and A/V equipment. My product lines include Xbox, Surface, Surface Hub and HoloLens.I work closely with the EMC and international certification teams to ensure a smooth transition from product development through manufacturing until the product's end of life.I am Microsoft's representative on the ITI Regulatory Policy Committee, I am Microsoft's representative on the IEC TC 108 US National Working Group, IEC SC 21A US National Working Group, UL STP 4200, UL STP 8400, and I represent Microsoft on the IEEE P1725 Battery committee. I am chairman of the Game Console Self-Regulatory Initiative Steering Committee.

Product safety and EMC for rack power distribution units, ITE, relocatable power taps, air conditioners and fans. I was responsible for EMC and safety certifications on a number of product lines including the following.EIA 310D Equipment racksRack mounted power distribution unitsRack mounted fansRack cooling productsStand-alone computer room air conditionersRack environmental monitoring systemsEngineered rack and cooling solutionsMy work included products that are build into building structure. This work required a strong knowledge of electrical codes, mechanical codes and building codes for world wide distribution.

Design and develop industrial controllers including water treatment controllers for swimming pools, cooling towers and waste water treatment plants. I designed products from start to finish including schematic layout, board layout, mechanical design, firmware and assembly.
