Thomas E HarrisI prefer to be called Ted.I have an extensive work history having lived and worked in several States. I began my career working part time during the summer as a janitor. While still in high school I took on a full time job at night working as a civilian for the Air Force in an accounting office. I remained in this position throughout high school and my first two semesters of community college. I moved at that time to the Christiansburg area where I would remain for several years working in different levels of management.I worked for about three years in Hickory North Carolina area as a supervisor for a trucking company. I then moved back to Christiansburg and remained there until 2001 when I moved to Giles County. I have maintained several positions during this time, mostly management but have branched out at times to gain knowledge and expertise in other areas. All throughout my career the one constant has been my desire to help others. I have achieved and maintained my certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and have remained dedicated and active for the past 33 years. In 2009 I stepped away from the security and benefits of my supervisory position to take on a full time job as an EMT . While this decision has been a financial hurdle, it remains the one job that I enjoy and can realize the benefits almost immediately. I am devoted to a fault, I consider myself a loyal, trustworthy and experienced individual who can work as a team player as well as work alone. I know no bounds as far as achieving my goals and remain accept challenge. My education has been ongoing, while receiving continuous education along the way, the substantial amount of and most useful comes from the "School of Hard Knocks".
