Materials strand student in 2021 cohort of Fusion CDT. Completed training in broad range of science and engineering challenges in nuclear fusion energy.My research is focussed on low energy hydrogen isotope separation using 2D materials as part of the fusion fuel cycle. This has involved: - Scalable CVD graphene-to-substrate transfers - Functionalised graphene-to-substrate transfers - Liquid Cell Electrochemical measurements - Experiment Design - Pressure Systems (KF and Swagelok fittings) - Mass Spectrometry - Surface Analysis

Worked in Materials Science and Structural Integrity (MSSI) at Jacobs Birchwood. MSSI constructs and operates experimental rigs to recreate physical and chemical environment of nuclear reactors for materials testing (fatigue, creep etc.). Worked on safety of existing fission reactors and materials testing for small modular reactors and lead fast-cooled reactors.As a mechanical engineer at MSSI, my work involved: - Pipework and Instrumentation Drawings - Test sample drawings - Static and dynamic stress hand calculations - Concept and detailed mechanical engineering design of new rigs - Quality Plans - 2D and 3D CAD drawings

Work on integrating systems for a medical rehabilitation device
