I started in the Fire Service in 1966 as a volunteer in Rockledge, PA. Working for Warminster Township as a Deputy Fire Marshal in the capacity of plan review, inspections, and investigations. In 1979 I was employed with Utah State Fire Marshal's Office as a Deputy State Fire Marshal over seeing All State own facilities, colleges & universities, jails and prisons. Later I transferred to the Investigations Division, was a sworn peace officer and attained the rank of sergeant. 1996 I was employed with Percussion Systems Engineering as a Fire Investigator. Missing the fire service I was employed by West Valley City Fire Department as an Inspector my duties were plan reviews, inspections, and investigations. Nine years later I was working for and retired from Salt Lake City Building Services, as their first Fire Protection Engineer.While my early working years I also held various part time jobs, in automotive, machine shops construction.
