With over 40 years of experience in preparing and supervising the preparation of air quality, meteorological and environmental impact studies performing air quality diffusion modeling, and additional environmental analyses, Mr. Main has retired from full-time consulting work at the end of 2018. He will still continue to provide part-time air quality consulting services with TRC on an on-call basis. Throughout his career, Mr. Main has prepared numerous major source (PSD and Title V) air permit applications which included working with the reviewing regulatory agencies as well as providing expert testimony regarding air quality issues in support of permit applications. His experience includes development, adaptation and operation of computer programs for environmental analyses; specification and installation of meteorological and air quality monitoring equipment; preparation and supervision of preparation of licensing documents and fugitive particulate studies performed for cogeneration facilities, fossil fuel steam electric generating facilities, steam heating plants, industrial process boilers, and municipal incinerators. Mr. Main also prepares cooling tower plume impact analyses and combustion condensed water vapor plume visibility studies. As a principal consulting meteorologist working within the permitting group in the TRC Lyndhurst, New Jersey office, Mr. Main is available to prepare condensed water vapor plume analyses using both SACTI and/or AERMOD.
