Goal-oriented Dimensional Engineer with 35 years of experience in optimization of product design, working with designers and product engineers to improve perceived quality and lower cost. As a member a GM team, was able to make a significant impact on the initiation of Dimensional Management:- coined “Dimensional Management” name.- invented part locating features which control parts' position much better then screws. - invented Cubing Assurance Fixture.- created new dimensional management methods and GD&T symbols that became automotive industry standards.When I worked at GM I had a privilege to meet Dr. Deming. One of many thigs I learned from him was that delaying product improvements to the next program phase increases its implementation cost ten times. This knowledge affected my approach to product development for the years to come. I was involved in experimental programs utilizing new technology. I participated in vehicles start of production and trouble shooting. I developed and taught Dimensional Management courses that were tailored for specific groups - designers, engineers, gage designers and quality personnel. I thought PolyWorks (scanning software) used in part dimensional approval and trouble shooting.
