Led a highly efficient development team that launched the platform five months after the formation of the team. I had the privilege of building and leading a global SE organization with 85 of the most capable out-of-the-box thinking, dynamic and experienced SE's in the industry. Started with a handful of core engineers and 6 years later we spanned the globe and helped position TippingPoint for acquisition by 3Com.Another major responsibility was to provide the company with direction and product ideas based on industry/customer need (see patent as an example).In addition, I was a consultant for Global 2000 accounts, service providers and fed during times of crisis.What a great ride - thanks to all that made it so successful!

I was hired to focus on service providers. Built, tested and trained customers on metro ethernet technologies - MPLS, various routing protocols, unique L2 deployments, etc.

I wore a few hats at Walmart. However, my core responsibility was to design, manage and troubleshoot the core network, distribution centers, store networks, partner DMZ, walmart.com and the integration of acquired company networks. I significantly influenced one of the world’s largest networks.

West relied on their network. Every minute of down-time cost the company significant money. I was responsible for building and managing all aspects of their network, servers, work-stations, security and mainframe connectivity. I started when the company had 1 site and a skeleton crew and grew the network to many sites with a large distributed team. I redesigned the network and directory services constantly to keep up with performance and growth demands.

I ran my own business for a while. Focused on building Novell networks (was a CNE at the time) and peer to peer networks for companies in the San Antonio area. I left for a larger playground - small business wasn't enough for me at the time.

Worked in the communication squadron. After passing the Air Force's equivalent of an IQ test, they assigned me to a special project to work on "new" networking technology.
