Recruited by Chairman to lead a new strategic business and legal affairs group responsible for developing, negotiating, and drafting worldwide agreements to distribute $4B+/year of content. ♦ Led global team of 65-70 legal and business executives negotiating and drafting agreements with the largest commercial partners (e.g., Apple, Amazon, AT&T, Comcast, Google/YouTube, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, SKY)♦ Created strategic partnerships driving $750M+ in value (e.g., DWA, Relativity, Cinram, Sony)♦ Negotiated deal with Disney to launch Movies Anywhere, the industry standard for film sales♦ Led negotiation of agreements with Chinese companies and managed related legal issues♦ Expanded role to handle all legal affairs and worldwide deal-making across all media and business models, for both physical and digital media (i.e., transactional business models such as DVD/Blu-ray, VOD and EST; subscription models such as Subscription VOD and premium pay television; and advertising models such as AVOD and Free-to-Air TV)♦ Managed $12M overhead budget across 3 departments♦ Co-Created the company’s first Venture Capital Investment Program. Identified and led negotiations for acquisitions and investments in technology companies supporting film/TV production, marketing, and/or distribution.
