I currently am consulting for multi-unit restaurant, retail systems and franchise, event and e-commerce businesses in connection with growth, development, systems and restructuring. I also provide advice to investment firms targeting restaurant and retail businesses and franchise systems. In addition I serve as part-time outside general counsel for several companies.I have 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. While I entered the restaurant industry as an attorney with expertise in, among other areas, franchising, real estate and employment law, my work led me to influence all aspects of the business, including business development (including franchise sales and concept development), human resources, operations and marketing. My experience helped me provide leadership at Round Table Pizza from its restructuring in 2011 to a disciplined growth strategy that included growth in online sales, new concept development and a implementation of a reimagining program that provided flexibility for location and sales differences. Our successful strategies and execution led to a sale of Round Table Pizza at premium of 70% to its then appraised value.
