Following my education at Kings Worcester, I read English Literature at Aberystwyth University where I enjoyed the spectacular Welsh countryside and read an awful lot of books. With my summers working on camps for international students, I always knew, deep down, that teaching was the career for me. So, after a brief flirtation with sales and marketing, I returned to university at Durham before teaching in Kent and Worcestershire.I have been fortunate in my career to have worked in some brilliant schools and alongside inspirational colleagues, several of whom have become firm friends. However, now I find myself taking the significant step of starting my own business: the first year of UW Tutoring is underway and I shall be updating you on its progress here.When not at the chalk(?) face, I relax into the comparatively simple roles of husband and father. I enjoy the great outdoors in as many ways as possible: walking, camping and planning family adventures; and I still seem to have an awful lot of books to read.
