Location: Turnhout (BE)Led various projects, range ~3-8 FTE, and introduced a range of new products to production and market.Here I applied a combination of project leader and technical architecture skills. Highlights:-Developed and successfully introduced an ignition aid to allow ignition of gas discharge lamps without unwanted substances. This involved design and an extensive testing effort, in parallel it implied modification of 5 high speed lamp assembly lines, > 5Mpcs/year.- Developed and released a range of new lamps with an upgrade in color temperature. Successful introduction of ~20 new products. - Released and successfully introduced a fuse to prevent unsafe end-of-life behavior in a range of gas discharge lamps.- Designed and set up a pilot production for a dedicated lamp and burner for a fashion retail chain.

Location: Eindhoven (NL)Main, ~5 FTE, project was to develop a ceramic Xenon gas discharge lamp for automotive headlighting, leveraging on a new Laser sealing technology. This required both a new lamp design, in parallel also a quite radical mechanization effort. Highlights:-Leveraged and built network between 4 sites (Turnout, Eindhoven, Aachen Research, Aachen Automotive factory).- Realization of mechanization concept and prototype for high xenon pressure (>12 bar) Laser sealing of a ceramic lamp.- Realized a ceramic lamp of rise grain size dimension, 1.2 mm, containing salt, electrodes and 12 bar xenon gas.
