I manage the staff handling the single largest serials acquisitions program at the Library of Congress. My job has me working at the forefront of digital collection policy and practice, where I lead three key initiatives: the eDeposit program, the Recommended Formats Statement and the Access Management project. In 2010, I helped launch the LC eDeposit initiative to create a collection of digital serials. By working closely with copyright specialists and software developers, we built capacity internally and relationships externally, leading to a collection which now consists of over 2 million articles. Building on its success, I have led the initiatives to expand this program to include digital books and digital sound recordings. I led the team which created the Recommended Formats Statement, the Library's guide for the world to help identify the technical characteristics which will improve preservation and long-term access of creative works. By creating a program of outreach and a cycle of feedback, I helped ensure that it is current and have seen it taken up quickly by other institutions around the globe. Given my role at LC, I was asked to lead the team creating a strategic vision for the Library as a content repository in 2025. We developed a brief which I shared with the Librarian and other executives at the Library of Congress as part of their strategic planning work.

I created descriptive and subject metadata for serials acquired by the Library of Congress from around the world. I improved the discoverability of both published and unpublished works, including collections of plays, foreign-language newspapers and commercial buying guides.

NTL reached out to me to serve on a detail as its director to help them with some key digital library projects which they needed to implement. I helped with the rollout and implementation of the new public access repository and initiated the process for moving the preservation repository to more sustainable open source code as the first stage of a redesign to improve productivity and scalability. As part of this, I completed the revision of the needed digital management policies and established a data curation team to improve the research data management practices within the Department of Transportation.
