Overall responsibility for the County Sheltering program to include people with special/functional needs. This will include the updating of plans and procedures for the comprehensive emergency management plan, oversight of grants, development of grant applications, liaison with government and non-government agencies involved in responding to mass evacuation, sheltering and recovery of people with special/functional needs as serving on task forces at the local and state level.

I am working on the New Madrid Seismic Zone planning project. I am working with FEMA Region IV and the State of Alabama on completion of the Region State Operations Plan for response to a New Madrid catastrophic earthquake event.

I worked with the State of Alabama Emergency Management Agency and Region IV FEMA developing the Region-State Catastrophic Earthquake plan for the New Madrid earthquake zone. This plan will be used in the event of a catastrophic earthquake event in the four states in Region IV most affected by such event. I have been required in cooperation with the State Lead Planner to complete the Alabama portion of this operations plan. I have also worked on portions of the FEMA Regional plan to assist the overall effort. This project has required extreme attention to deadlines due to the six month time given for completion. This required team effort and cooperation between planners in each state and at the Region IV office to meet the goal.

Served as an Emergency Planner for various catastrophic planning projects for the company. I worked with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency on the FEMA Evacuee Support Planning project for hosting gulf coast evacuees from coastal storms.I worked on the Georgia Evacuee Support plan, Mass Evacuation Transportation plan, New Madrid Catastrophic plan, as a facilitator for regional planning workshops in FEMA region IV and VI. I worked on Technical Assistance Guides for Mass Evacuation Planning and Special Needs Planning documents. I was deployed as the deputy chief for Human Services in the State of Missouri EOC for the February Ice Storms.

I assisted Tennessee Emergency Management Agency in developing the Evacuee Support Plan document to be used in an evacuation from the gulf coast. Also worked on the following contracts for the company: Mass Evacuation Transportation Planning, Georgia Evacuee Support, New Madrid Catastrophic planning, Mass Evacuation planning for Seattle area of Washington State, Mass Evacuation planning for New York/New Jersey and Florida Catastrophic Planning. Wrote Technical Assistance NPD planning documents for Mass Evacuation planning and Special Needs Shelter Planning. Served as the Deputy Branch Chief of Human Services in the Missouri State EOC on a deployment for the February 09 Ice Storm.

Served as the Red Cross representative to the State Emergency Management Office of the State of Tennessee. Served in the State EOC in ESF-6 during all exercises and disaster operations when the EOC was activated. Served on the Emergency Services Cordinator advisory committee to the State Director. Assisted in the development of plans for ESF-6 and on all other ESFs for which the Red Cross was a support agency. Recruited and Developed volunteers to serve in the State EOC and assisted chapters in the state with capacity building for both the Government liaison position and Voluntary Agency Liaison positions. Served on the State VOAD and developed relationships with other voluntary agencies in the state.

Developed and maintained the relationship between Red Cross in Tennessee and State/Local Emergency Management. Served as the Emergency Services Coordinator representing Red Cross in the State EOC. Provided leadership to the chapters to increase disaster response capacity especially in the government and voluntary liaison positions. Developed the relationship between State VOAD partners and chapters in the state. Served on the Executive Committee of the Emergency Management Association of Tennessee. Deployment Coordinator for the State of Florida 2005 - 2006Coordinated Assistance Network, Washington, D.C.Developed long-term recovery agencies participation in a web based client information sharing program to help speed client recovery after the 2004 hurricanes and also for Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Coordinated with all types of agencies and business leaders to develop participation which required knowledge of their programs and abilities as well as relationship building skills with staff and leaders.

I developed participation in a web-based client information program for long-term recovery agencies/committees after disaster. I worked with FEMA representatives especially Voluntary Agency Liaisons, local businesses, non-governmental agencies, VOAD agencies, local social services agencies, local government such as emergency management to foster training and knowledge of the program. The program was started after 911 to coordinate client information so clients would not have to tell their story again and again, fill out new applications at each agency and foster communication between agencies and avoid duplication of services.

2005Served on Hurricane Wilma as Client Services Administrator supervising the work of 2,500 paid staff and volunteers providing emergency financial assistance to more than 18,000 clients. Served as the Director of the Red Cross Community Recovery Project covering Florida, Alabama and Mississippi for Hurricanes Charley, Ivan, Francis and Jeanne providing case management services to more than 20 long-term recovery committees in the three States.

for Response, Southeast Service Area 2003 - 2004Provided leadership for the local chapters ensuring the delivery of Red Cross Disaster Services to a five state region including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. This position required coordination of delivery of resources to 119 local chapters.

Managed the overall delivery of Red Cross emergency services for three county jurisdiction of 1.5 million people and oversight of direct services for three programs including Disaster Services, Armed Forces Emergency Services and International Services, developing trained volunteers to provide the services, served as loaned executive to United Way and served on the speakers bureau each year of tenure in Central Florida. I Served as the State Disaster Director for Red Cross in Florida.
