I worked with the State of Alabama Emergency Management Agency and Region IV FEMA developing the Region-State Catastrophic Earthquake plan for the New Madrid earthquake zone. This plan will be used in the event of a catastrophic earthquake event in the four states in Region IV most affected by such event. I have been required in cooperation with the State Lead Planner to complete the Alabama portion of this operations plan. I have also worked on portions of the FEMA Regional plan to assist the overall effort. This project has required extreme attention to deadlines due to the six month time given for completion. This required team effort and cooperation between planners in each state and at the Region IV office to meet the goal.
Served as an Emergency Planner for various catastrophic planning projects for the company. I worked with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency on the FEMA Evacuee Support Planning project for hosting gulf coast evacuees from coastal storms.I worked on the Georgia Evacuee Support plan, Mass Evacuation Transportation plan, New Madrid Catastrophic plan, as a facilitator for regional planning workshops in FEMA region IV and VI. I worked on Technical Assistance Guides for Mass Evacuation Planning and Special Needs Planning documents. I was deployed as the deputy chief for Human Services in the State of Missouri EOC for the February Ice Storms.
I assisted Tennessee Emergency Management Agency in developing the Evacuee Support Plan document to be used in an evacuation from the gulf coast. Also worked on the following contracts for the company: Mass Evacuation Transportation Planning, Georgia Evacuee Support, New Madrid Catastrophic planning, Mass Evacuation planning for Seattle area of Washington State, Mass Evacuation planning for New York/New Jersey and Florida Catastrophic Planning. Wrote Technical Assistance NPD planning documents for Mass Evacuation planning and Special Needs Shelter Planning. Served as the Deputy Branch Chief of Human Services in the Missouri State EOC on a deployment for the February 09 Ice Storm.
Served as the Red Cross representative to the State Emergency Management Office of the State of Tennessee. Served in the State EOC in ESF-6 during all exercises and disaster operations when the EOC was activated. Served on the Emergency Services Cordinator advisory committee to the State Director. Assisted in the development of plans for ESF-6 and on all other ESFs for which the Red Cross was a support agency. I worked with FEMA representatives especially Voluntary Agency Liaisons, local businesses, non-governmental agencies, VOAD agencies, local social services agencies, local government such as emergency management to foster training and knowledge of the program. The program was started after 911 to coordinate client information so clients would not have to tell their story again and again, fill out new applications at each agency and foster communication between agencies and avoid duplication of services.
2005Served on Hurricane Wilma as Client Services Administrator supervising the work of 2,500 paid staff and volunteers providing emergency financial assistance to more than 18,000 clients. Served as the Director of the Red Cross Community Recovery Project covering Florida, Alabama and Mississippi for Hurricanes Charley, Ivan, Francis and Jeanne providing case management services to more than 20 long-term recovery committees in the three States.

This position required coordination of delivery of resources to 119 local chapters.
