At the time I joined Netversant, my mission was to evolve the firm from being cable installers into an IT Services company. Despite the firm's under-capitalization (to say the least) and certainly mismanagement, my team managed to achieve recognition from Cisco as the go-to outdoor mesh partner nationwide, as well as being one of the first Cisco physical security integrators.

Lanair is an extension of my former business, Domain Consultants Group. After a restructuring due to a dissolution of the partnership with my former business partner, LANAIR (Local Area Network + Wireless) was created to continue supporting the accounts I'd established as the CEO of DCG. This also incorporated "promoting" the DCG CFO and CIO to equal business partnership.

After "selling" IT Support from the "trunk of my Honda Accord," in 1997 Domain Consultants Group was created through a merger of two customer bases. The focus leveraged our experience in IT Services, but later evolved into serving as one of the nation's premiere providers of Homeland Security solutions including access control and video surveillance. Additionally, the DCG team created a managed services offering and grew one of the first "hosted" and "remote management" platforms into a vast multi-seat subscriber base (which still prevails today). With offices in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and Chicago, DCG established a "run rate" of over $7mm with approximately 50 employees. One of the things I'm most proud of is that throughout the history of my firms, we never borrowed a penny, took a loan, or missed payroll.
