About Thomas Danielson

Systems Engineering / System Design, Integration, and Test / Data Analysis / Public Speaking / Project Management and Coordination / Electronics / MEMS / Particle PhysicsI spent 10 years in particle physics as a graduate student and a postdoc, where I worked with Terabyte-and-Petabyte scale datasets to help understand and characterize the structure of the proton (as a student) and looking for hints of physics beyond the Standard Model (as a postdoc). I also contributed to the hardware aspects of my experiments through developing, and coordinating the validaiton of, trigger algorithms, and developing and maintaining detector hardware. As a System Engineer at Santa Barbara Infrared, I am responsible for one of the main product lines, covering all elements of the product lifecycle, from Research and Development into advancing the capabilities of our systems to improving the processes used to build, integrate, and test the standard product.
