Hands on with fiber optics, coax, electrical, mechanical, network, and computer controlled equipment. RF troubleshooting is a valuable skill. Hand on knowledge of antenna de-ice systems, controls systems, replacing electro mechanical components, routine antenna maintenance. Configuring and monitoring the site network and server systems, utilizing a variety of monitoring tools. Using 3rd party Monitor and Control systems, building and configuring Centos Server systems, using monitoring tools such as Solar winds, Icinga, Grafana, Prometheus. Repairing, rebuilding, and sometimes redesigning control systems to ensure systems are redundant at all times. Systems included TWTAs, BUC, BDCs, Line Drivers, RF Switching components, GPS systems, Cisco switches, modulators, tracking receivers.

24x7 support for customers across the Chicago area. Primarily family owned business. Delivery, removal, and repair of custom Linux based kiosk systems. Some issues involved troubleshooting the Linux systems, identifying and repairing computer issues, identifying and installing the best internet connection possible for the systems which was typically customer internet, Wifi, or cellular.
