Encompasses two main roles:Product Safety Manager Risk assessment of company products due for ordering, and selection of appropriate testing program. Testing performed to legal and customer’s technical requirement. Assigning appropriate labeling on products upon conclusion of risk assessment. Scheduling and arrangement of safety testing through liaison with safety testing labs, printers and component suppliers. Ensuring the safety testing procedures do not impact on customers required delivery dates.Monitoring material conformity to ensure they match against the testing programme undertaken. Maintaining database of safety test reports and product technical files for submission to customer upon request. Monitoring supplier’s quality accreditation's (ISO, BSCI, ICTI) and ethical audits (SMETA). Extensive knowledge of European toy, and general product safety directives. Regular experience of EU cosmetic, RoHS and REACH chemical directives. Extensive knowledge of USA and international toy safety requirements. Monitoring continuous updates to these requirements, and planning the company response to them. Dealing with problems as a result of non-compliance to our testing, material conformance and quality requirements Production ManagerPlanning, scheduling, purchasing and overseeing of customer’s orders to ensure timely delivery, and match customer’s quality expectations.Costing technical printing specifications from paperback books to boxed gift sets with novelty components. Done through liaison with extensive base of suppliers based in Asia. Providing accurate cost estimates based on these specifications to the sales team for quoting for live work. Sourcing of toy, and other publication related components through global trading websites and established suppliers. Coordination of delivery of components for timely packing at multiple factory locations.
