PromoTed was founded in 2009 during my bachelor study. The goal was to learn more about entrepreneurship and at the same time to have an income during my study, even while traveling or studying abroad. PromoTed primarily focused on webdesign but also provided a wider range of marketing related services. PromoTed has always been a stable 'part-time' business aside from study and work. Even though I very much enjoyed the entrepreneurial aspect, it has never been my ambition to grow this company into a full time profession. In January 2020 I decided to stop the company in order to focus on other professional and personal interests.

Being part of a small team I worked on a large variety of Sales and Marketing related projects, such as:- Organizing boat show participations- Design and development of corporate website, brochures, presentations etc.- In-house sales, qualifying and following up incoming leads - Communication through mailings, press releases, publicationsEmployment was stopped due to a change of ownership which led to a temporary shutdown of the company.

One of the activities of Racktime is to employ a pool of sales talents and train them to represent well-known brands in for example retail stores. Depending on the project I was assigned to work as a dedicated product specialist for HP, Fujifilm and Navigon. The goal of such projects was to boost brand specific sales in retail stores like Media Markt, BCC, Office Centre. Besides the sales activities, my other tasks included providing sales training for HP and Navigon and representing HP on a business event.I worked for Racktime during the first years of my bachelor study. The growth of my own company, PromoTed, made me decide to end my employment at Racktime.

Zhongshan, Guangdong, China

I worked as a Marketing intern at Supercat Catamarans, a partnership between Dutch and Chinese entrepreneurs building a new highly innovative catamaran in the Chinese city ZhongShan. After spending 1 month in China I spent the other 5 months working remotely from the Netherlands.My role was to identify the market potential of a new catamaran in China and write on a Marketing plan to introduce this modern daysailer. Immediately after approval of this plan I started to execute the first steps towards market introduction. This included realization of website, brochure, 3D renderings and participation on the 2011 Shanghai International Boat show.
